Salmon

After 2 days of good success with the butternut squash it was time to live dangerously and test a new food. Salmon is highly reactive to most people (reactive = inflammation = weight gain) but I used to eat it all the time and quite miss it.
Since starting the plan I have had strange reactions both physically (don't like it anymore) and mentally (my brain screaming at me: don't eat this!) to foods that aren't friendly to my body. So I was a little apprehensive as I started cooking.
Prepping the salmon was ok, but once I put it in the pan, the smell put me off but I worked through it - this was a test after all... Once it was cooked I was ok with it and the meal was great. I loved having salmon again and all afternoon I felt fine.

My lunch:salmon, mixed sauteed veggies and a side salad



The final test was this morning when I got on the scale... I was down 0.1! Not much but down is down and as I am close to goal, anything down is a pass in my book! Yeah! I can have salmon on a regular basis again :)
