Late start today...

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

My nutritionally disaster of a weekend continued to monday and even a little bit today. I am hoping to stay within the high side of my calorie range today. I had a late start to work today. I woke up for work and just couldn't do it. I went back to sleep for a little bit. I got up and did a 30min Nike Training Club workout called "sweat + shape." It was a really good workout although the shoulder I separated last summer is acting up really badly. This workout was rough on the shoulders so I do see why. After that I got ready for work and got in 2 hours late. I apologized to my boss and told him I just needed a couple hours this morning. He was not mad because I am the one always expected to be at work early.

I'm still on my quest to find some normalcy in food. I know I can do it, I just think there are a lot of temptations at home in addition to just stress. I've been saying this for a couple weeks now, but I really want to start running again. I am just scared I will hurt myself badly again. I am going to start off very small next week. I do not want to start this week because I have a 72 mile charity skate on saturday and I need to be tapering anyways.

Tonight I have a two hour indoor skate practice. I got my "special socks" in the mail yesterday so the skating should be much more pleasant tonight. Hopefully with my "two hour delay" the work day will go by quick!

Wow. I didn't know there is such an event with the 72 mile skate. Is the course really flat or the good old rolling hills of GA? They told me that Athens to ATL was flat on the first 38 miles. Right! So as a rec skater I've never gotten so scared in my life. Are you doing the full 72? You must be pretty fast to pull that off. I'd be happy with 27 before the calf cramp set in. LOL. Congrats and good luck!

P.S. If you can prove to me that it's totally flat, they might have one more skater next year. You never know. I'm looking forward to read your blog on this and pics too if you can.

I had a disastrous weekend myself. My youngest had her birthday yesterday, and that involved a lot of driving around, and at least two trips to restaurants I didn't want to go, but since it was for the birthday girl, I had to. ;) I did okay at Burger King... just had a chicken sandwich and water. Stevi B's pizza turned out less ideal. I overdosed like whoah.

Surprisingly though, I still managed to lose .4 lbs.

    Who knows.
