Not Burning Enough

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Day 3 of working out was very successful, I even ran for a little bit! I was able to get a bit more sleep last night which is why I’m feeling pretty good this morning, but the next few days are going to be killer. I have my musical theatre class tonight which gets out at 11pm, and the next few days I’ll be getting out at 10:30pm because of my play rehearsal. I’ll be exhausted, but it’ll be worth it.

In the time alotted, I’m not burning enough calories for Spark. I really have only 30 minutes to work out and because I’m not doing it at 4mph or higher (my highest is 3.7) I’m not burning enough. So frustrating! Instead of putting so much focus on how much I’m burning, I’m going to focus on the quality of my workout. As gross as it is, I’m going to do my best to get a REALLY good sweat going and go from there. I’m really proud of myself though and will do my absolute best to continue in my healthy habits. I’ve been tempted to weigh in, but I won’t until Friday. I'm still a little afraid of what I might see.

My eating was out of control yesterday, and although I was eating healthy foods it was still too much. Today is a new day.

I’m hoping for a better day today and look forward to my musical theatre class tonight.

Have a wonderful day SparkBuddies!

Miss B

p.s. We didn't win any awards last night which is a bummer, but it's still an honor to be nominated!

Don't underestimate the power of strength training. You may not be sweating as much, but you are still burning calories, and more importantly building muscle. There are a lot of ST exercises that I do throughout the day at work, because I don't get as sweaty, but it is still doing my body good.
