All Bummed Out!

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Weighed myself this morning and I am exactly the same weight I was on 2/26. Rats! I was really expecting a loss, but it's just not happening. I even measured my waist, but there was no change there, either.

Somebody push me off this plateau, please!

This is a journey and a change for life. It is disappointing when the numbers on the scale do not change. You also have to go by how you feel, do you feel better that you are taking charge of your life? Making positive changes for you? Not seeing the numbers move or move as quickly as we like is tough. As Cheryl_Anne said, make sure you are drinking enough water, make sure you are logging everything you eat and try to make small changes. Be more active if you can. Make sure you care eating more fruits and veggies - they are filling and have less calories. Hang in there, change will come!

I know what you mean. I have been dieting and excercising since October with no loss. I recently weighed myseld and I FINALLY lost 3 pounds. It is not a lot and it has taken a really long time but the change is happening, no matter how long it takes we have to keep going. the change WILL come when it has to. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Did you only measure your waist? Sometimes my waist measurement doesn't change but other measurements do. That's why I always measure all the parts listed.

Inches gone are gone... they're not suddenly going to reappear like the scale moving opposite the way I want due to too much sodium!

Celebrate the other non-scale victories that you have like tracking you nutrition, drinking your 64 ounces of water, exercising, how your clothes are fitting, and that you haven't managed to get in your own way despite the scale not moving.

I am also waiting for the scale to move however I realize that the closer I get to goal, the slower it might just move. Nonetheless, I'm not going to get in my own way and self-sabotage myself because of it. I'll find something to celebrate and eventually my diligence will pay off.

I wish you much success on your journey to becoming the healthiest you can be!

I wish I could. These are difficult times when our bodies just don't want to cooperate and we wonder why we are doing this and really start to question the entire process. I know its rough but try to stay strong and be patient. I know eventually your hard work and effort will pay off. Stay strong!! emoticon
