Glob (Thanks Boppy!)

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

So a new name for my short little blogs - globs (named by Boppy).
Have not been able to upload my vacation pictures on SP because file size is too big. Anyone know how to make this work? But here's one:

You can use GIMP, it's free.

>It also has a user guide to help you. I used to master Photoshop in my days of web design. Went through the beta to CS. Loved playing with it. There are dev copies and free trials but for simple photo abuse, GIMP is fine.

Globs! I like that!

    Wowser is that stunning!

If you don't have an image editor on your computer, there are many online options. Most will have an option of some sort for multiple resizing. Here's a link to a simple one, and good luck--!

If you have a picture handling program such as PhotoShop you can reduce the file size. Save the originals in a place they can't be changed such as on a CD-ROM and then play away. The easiest way is to have one of the local high school computer geeks to do it for you. A file size of around 1M is good. Less is even better.

I usually set my camera for it's lowest resolution setting unless I'm taking pictures that I think I might actually get printed in a size bigger than 3x5.

The picture you managed to upload is really neat.

Good luck!!
