No Progress

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

OK well I set off March 1st wearing my pedometer and with all my meals planned for a week.....then on March 2nd I decided to take a walk. I started having trouble breathing and could hardly make it back home to sit down. What's Up? Sunday woke up with a horrible sore throat and a blinding headache. Monday- I can't talk at all. Off to the work and then off to the doctor to discover I have bronchitis, laryngitis, and a sinus infection. I HAVE to work - it's tax season. So I take my meds, suck my inhaler and work, then go home and flop. I am concentrated on getting well and clients. Healthy eating and exercise derailed.
After ten days or so I start to feel more like a human than a slug. I gotta start over - again.
It took until today for me to decide I must get myself motivated. So I brought my lunch and put on my pedometer - ready to start over once more.
I'll just keep starting over until I no longer need to start over.

Illness has a way of derailing us, doesn't it?

Best of luck to you as you work your way back into the swing of it!

Feel better soon, sometimes unforeseen obstacles face us, we'll know the change in our lifestyle has stuck when we take those hurdles in stride and don't let it harm our long term progress! emoticon

Unfortunately things like this happen to all of us and it sucks, especially when you've made the big decision to change. I think that's a fate thing - seems like every time I've decided to make changes and that this will be the last time, something derails me and throws me off track. At least you're feeling better and have gotten right back on the horse! Keep going and you will get there. You obviously have the dedication so just keep getting better and eat healthy and you'll be back on track in no time. Lots of luck this time around!

Start with eating right and tracking, wait on exercise until your body has recovered. Being sick slows you down. Take one step at a time. You will find the balance and things will come together. emoticon
