A green bean surprise....

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

The grand comes tonight for our Tuesday night dinner date while her mom teaches at the community college and we usually let her choose the menu. I called her last night and asked if she would like some pork on the grill and home made mac and cheese - two of her favorites. She thought that would be good and then asked if we could also have fresh green beans and maybe, a ceasar salad. My girl is growing up!

It's always exciting when healthy eating habits begin to wear off on kids. As a kid I pretty much ate bread, pasta, and crackers. Now I love fruits and veggies of all kinds. My parents didn't push me to eat what they wanted me eating, they just set a good example by eating healthy themselves. Eventually I gave in to their ways!
