Good evening to all of my spark friends!
I was just commenting on a friends blog and that got me thinking about the treadmill.
Why do I push myself and try to run when I could just do a fast walk?
Why do I push for a faster time for the 5K distance every time I train?
Why did I sign up for a 5K when I have never even thought about it before I joined Spark people?
Why, Why, Why.
I guess the simple answer really is: because I can do all those things. What a gift it is to think that we can really do so much that we set our minds to.
Will I be the fastest runner, no, I am just hoping by July I can run the whole distance, but even if I cant, then I will walk part of it and run the other part of it and I will be really proud of myself because I did it.
So the bottom line in, keep pushing yourself, keep trying new things, keep finding new exercises that you enjoy.
Keep getting up every morning and make the decision that today will be a good day and then make it a good day.
Walk around the block, or around your work place. Smile at everyone you meet and say HI.
Keep on pushing to be the best that you can be. Keep on spreading the spark!
And when people ask me why I want to exercise and do a 5K, the answer will be.....
Because I Can!
