This week I focused on knowing my portions. I got a sphagetti measurer and I started using my measuring cups instead of just guessing. A single serving is smaller than I thought in my mind, but it is enough to make me full. A few times I did not finish eating the serving. I think one of the things about portion sizes that confuse me the most is when I am told to think of it as an object. When I hear a serving of meat is a deck of cards etc it doesnt seem like that much. But measured out it really is plenty. I also started eating at my kitchen table instead of in front of my tv. I felt fuller faster and was able to better enjoy my food. As much as I love my tv I have a really lovely kitchen table and it was getting lonely without me. As my grandma used to tell me animals stand people sit at kitchen tables. I have finally got the hang of exercise. I have been exercising at least 4 days a week now for the last 3 or 4 weeks and I can make it through a full class now! I'm not stopping 4 times to get water or my inhaler Its all coming somewhat naturally. Tonight I will be going and giving one of the more advanced classes a try. I have a feeling that its going to be rough but I've made it through kickboxing and step aerobiics I just will have to hang in there for a few weeks.
