I finished the marathon - 11th from the last. That's about par for the course. I felt that I did better, at least I could see the people in front of me. I past about 5 people at mile 22. I bonked at mile 24. It was cold and windy - I am thankful for that marathoner who through his/her gloves away at mile 2 - they were re-gifted to me. I enjoyed the Yueling Beer at the end - not much of a beer drinker but that was a pleasant smooth beer - plus I was thirsty. I did at mile 24 have a sip of the green beer - thank you guys for being there when the real marathoners passed emoticon.

So, my prayers and wishes were answered. My plan - um um - Sunday I ate Wendys - in one meal I consumed like 1200 calories (i did substitute the fries with a salad but then had the creamy ranch dressing - I tried) and I had the soda. Like I say I had a big glass of beer (was it a big glass?) i drank it so fast and it tasted so good I don't remember. I had some potato chips ( should have had the pretzels - but I needed a zing). I did save the leftover Olive Garden for Sunday morning and warmed it up for breakfast. I ate all of the cantaloupe Saturday night. Did save the blueberries for Monday morning. Had a glass of Merlot at 9 a.m. on Monday at the airport.

I am back home now and it back to the old laboratory tomorrow. Broke my spark streak of blogging since I was not able to blog on Sunday.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Y'know, you may have been at the tail end of the marathon but instead of thinking how far back you were, I think you should celebrate the fact that you were in it and that you completed it. I guess to run at that level, you had to train for quite a few weeks (months?). That equals a healthy lifestyle in my eyes. So what if you had a few empty calories. If you can run like that and train for that, you can probably burn a few extra calories up just being you. Spark on! emoticon
