More Snow!

I was quite depressed to see that we got 4 inches of new snow last night. I am so tired of winter and anxious to get out and work in my yard and garden. I bought a little portable greenhouse to set up inside and keep my cat away from my tomatoes and got a good workout putting it together! At least I have somewhere to put my seedlings now.

    Hang in there!

This year, we've been experiencing a long and snowy winter everywhere on our North hemisphere.
It has been snowing again in my area (France, Jura Mountains near Switzerland) for the last couple of days.

My greenhouse is in my basement, and I haven't planted anything yet... for the moment, I'm just enjoying cross-country skiing and snow shoeing until it lasts.

I am sorry that you don't like snow, but I know how less fun it is when you don't live in the mountains. On the bright side, your cold winter allows you more days to keep on quilting in the warm comfort of your home! emoticon

    I remember when spring was presaged every year by the arrival of seed catalogs in January. We had a little space in the basement with growlights and trays, and started the seedlings in March for planting late April. Watching them come up made spring seem to come earlier. And spring does come, every year.

    So nice that you have a little greenhouse to start seeds in. Know what you mean about the cold, miserable weather. This winter has just gone on and on and on..... We're having another cold, gray, dismal week here in southern IN too. We're lucky tho, we don't have any snow....not yet at least!!! I feel for ya. It has to get better soon. We've all had enough of it. emoticon

    I totally agree -- it's been a long, cold, snowy, icy winter. It's taking a toll on my mood and my motivation, and it adds stress from worrying about people having to be on the terrible roads! C'mon spring!

    When I lived in NJ I thought I would go insane before Spring finally came around. Here in New Mexico it is pretty mild.

    I too woke to more of that white stuff. Doesn't mother nature know that Spring officially starts later this week? I just grabbed my boots yet again and dreamed of warmer weather. I am glad you found a solution for your seedlings!
