Feeling sick

Monday, March 18, 2013

So I have been sick with something, not the Flu like previously thought, but it is a virus and I am exhausted so much so that I am too tired to eat at times! I have lost 4 pounds but I am not proud of them because I did not earn them. I have not done anything in the past week which constitutes exercise. I was hoping to get back to the gym and start slow but I am hacking and my asthma is worked up! I also have head congestion which even with medication is giving me a problem. I guess I am feeling guilty about not working out because I was doing so well. Everyday for almost 3 weeks strait and then this. I had a goal day , but now that will have to change. Oh well enough complaining! I just need to get back on track and regain my health in order to kick my butt into the shape I want to be in!

Thanks been drinking lots of tea and resting, it is this head cold I just can't shake and it bothers me since it has been years since I was sick. I am not the type to let things slow me down but I can barely bend over to get my shoes out the closet my head feels like it will explode! I was hoping with spring coming I would get outside and at least walk, but we got about 4 inches of snow last night and now it is snow/rain/ice so walking outside is not an option! Might try the gym tonight depends on my headache if it is better! Just don't want my progress to suffer want to maintain the muscle I was building and the endurance I had.

I totally know how you feel. At the beginning of this year, i was on a good fitness track then got the stomach flu. I lost weight and was very sick for a week. I didnt run or do anything. Much like you are saying. I used my weight loss as a springboard and started from there and kept on. You have lots of time to get better and run. Heal now. Rest now. You will be back up and running before you know it. emoticon
