It's cooking day in our house. Since I've switched us to the (mostly) Primal model, cooking has been a bit more of a challenge. I LOVE to cook, but most of the recipes I knew by heart (or would compose on the fly) were not prepared with the healthiest ingredients (lots of grains, canola oil, potatoes, and dairy). So, I had a bit of a learning curve to tackle when it came to Primal cooking. This week marked a milestone in my Primal journey: I did not have to research recipes and substitutions on the internet before I began weekly meal prep!
We grocery shop Sundays, and I prep food for the week on Monday's. Today's kitchen fun included: coconut flour pumpkin muffins, olive oil mayo, homemade turkey breakfast sausage, mashed and riced cauliflower, and general fruit and vegetable preparation (wash, dry, chop). There's also a lovely looking grass-fed beef roast in the slow cooker, along with a hearty portion of onions to be pureed into gravy. Yum.
