I really do. It doesn't matter what the stupid thing saw, winter is never going to end this year. This time last year, all my flowers were already blooming, and we were already starting to put our garden seeds in!
This year? There is still snow up to my butt in places and it is snowing like crazy again! Seriously, it is near blizzard out. Thank God I went out this morning before the snow started and did the banking!
I also stopped at dollar tree to pick up medicine for son...he's home from school. I didn't think it would be a good idea to send him when he's spent most of the last 36 hours in the bathroom. Glad we have a vent in there! And plenty of air freshener. I have no idea what bug he picked up, but I will be glad when he's over it! (So will the dogs!)
Son actually washed dishes while I was out! And made me a pot of coffee. And put potato in the oven for my lunch!? Don't know why he was so helpful today, but it was nice. He even made a salad for me. (Open a bag and dump it on the plate, lol)
Hubs unloaded in Indiana this morning and already has a reload out to the Syracuse area. Which is good and bad. Good because loads are always better than sitting. Bad because if things go badly with mom, I will have to drive to ohio myself with son.
I am praying for the best, but preparing for the worst. I have to.
On a brighter note, my crafting is going fairly well. I will have several hundred dollars worth of monkey dolls finished in various sizes before the market starts. I also have the yarn to finish up the 2 sweaters that are almost done in fisherman wool and enough to make another large one. That will be good (if they sell!). Hubs still didn't get the sewing machine cord spliced, so I can't work on dish towels yet. I did get the netting cut and tied to make the dish scrubbies. Already got 10 of those made. I need at least 70, that's what I sold last year with 6 weeks short. And several weeks I was out. So I'm guessing probably 100 or more this year.
Anything that keeps me busy right now. And since Hubs got me the new swimsuit, I'm hoping that the budget will improve so that I can take the taxi to swim 3 days a week. Climbing into the pickup is just too hard. And after a workout, I'm not at all sure I would be able to!
So, that's how my week is starting. Snowed in again! But looking up. And praying things go well with mom's surgery.
