Lunchbox Accountability (Pic) and Note to Self

Here's what I have in my lunchbox today:

1) A salad of mixed greens, cabbage, orange slices and slivered almonds with a home made ponzu vinagrette on the side.
2) A half orange.
3) A baked sweet potato.
4) 21 grams/.75 ounce of almonds.
5) 3 ounces of baked boneless, skinless chicken breast

I plan on sticking with the contents of my box (approx. 800 cals) until I get home from work. Then I'll have dinner and/or a pre- or post-workout snack.

NOTE TO SELF: I really let the scale do a number on me this weekend. I need to step back and remember this journey is not all about the number on the scale. Reducing it to just numbers, in fact, belittles the scope of my tremendous accomplishment. I've been a binge free, alcohol free, clean eating, hard working machine! I have made a real lifestyle change and should be proud of myself. Last night, my husband and I ate out and it was like night and day vs. my old habits. We ordered less food of a healthier variety and I ate less, drank more water and avoided empty calories from alcohol. THAT IS SUPER AWESOME. Be proud, girl. Be proud.
