It's gone all Italian chez moi at the weekend.
Home-made Almond Pesto:
Italian Polenta Cake:
This little fella is not Italian but he serenaded me for ages whilst hunting for worms in my garden:
I had a great meeting with my son's teacher during the parent/teacher evening last week. The report on my son's work was great: he's working well above national average in all subjects and is showing great pro-activity towards his own improvement.
I took him out for a meal as a treat and this was his choice of pudding: chocolate sundae to share. Needless to say, our eyes were bigger than our bellies and we never managed to finish that monster off!
I'm still pushing on with my holistic nutrition studies. After coming to grasp with minerals, I'm now tackling the subject of water. I still love it and it is SO interesting.
Work at the Library has become that bit more difficult. The redevelopment of the building is gathering pace and we are now pretty much working in the middle of a building site. It's often very noisy and, worse for me, very dusty (I'm allergic to dust.) I often spend days walking around sneezing, coughing and with weepy eyes.
But hey ho, time to use my adoptive Britain's motto, stiff upper-lip and all that:
Have a fab day Sparkfriends!
