crushing feelings

Monday, March 18, 2013

I am having such a hard time getting motivated and staying that way. It is not like I don't want to do this, just something keeps me away from the daily schedule I have to keep to do this. Last week I worked overtime multiple days, we had a social obligation on Friday, Saturday I didn't feel quite right have not been able to fight that feeling for days know. I can be a giant hypercondriac so I can give myself pretty much any disease you can look up. I have to be real careful about that. When that happens it can take a trip to the doctor to calm the crazies. I am trying to get over this episode by writing about it. Lets see if it helps. emoticon

I agree with the suggestions of making a list. I have a mental checklist even for showering, I start with my hair and work my way down to washing my feet. You would not believe the number of times I stepped out of the shower and had forgotten to wash my hair or shave my legs. Sometimes even the "simple things" can use a checklist (even if it is mental, not written). I also have "phone, keys, wallet" ingrained before I step out of the house. I hate when I get somewhere and realize I don't have my wallet or my list is on the phone. Best wishes for finding what works for you. emoticon emoticon

One of my biggest issues with myself is how forgetful I can be. I am always running late or forgetting something. I found something to help me and you might want to try it too. It's going to sound ridiculous and I would diiiiiiiiie of embarassment if anyone found my list but it has simple things listed of stuff I need to do:

1.) wake up no later than 6:30
2.) brush teeth and wash face
    3.) make up and hair
4.) take out chicken for dinner
    5.) work
6.) lunch: sandwich , fruit, cottage cheese
7.) call nuggets doctor for physical
8.) finish work, pick up milk
9.) pick up kids at afterschool
    10.) dinner
11.) 1 hour workout: legs, 30 minutes cardio

this all sounds ridiculous but the list goes on and on. I have to do this EVERYDAY so i dont forget things. sometimes I write times down if my day is over the top crazy. I am so afraid to forget something and when I do I get upset and binge on something I shouldn't eat because I let the stress get to me. I hope you find something that works for you. I know worrying about your health can drive you crazy. Maybe by not scheduling the time to think about things that may be ailing you it'll help keep your mind at ease or only allotting yourself 30minutes a day to work on something that's hurting you or reaserching it.

Hope this helps in some way....

When I don't feel motivated I read the motivation articles or look at blogs that post people's success stories. emoticon
