Disappointing Weekly Results : / but Keeping it Going.....

So I finally hit another plateau and only lost 0.2 lbs this week. I knew it had to come soon because it always does but it still hurts to hit it. I lurk on the Panic forums all the time to try to get perspective when I am feeling down about my progress and it does help to see that everyone goes through it. I think it is easy to say just keep going you are making healthy choices, the scale means nothing, etc... but when you work so hard and see barely any results it is still a downer for most people including myself. I think that is normal. The takeaway message though is not to let it stop you and I am not going to let this bad week stop me. Due to my injury and being sick I did slack a bit more that usual. My burn was down, my calories were up and thus my deficit was smaller. If it was cals in/cals out then I *should* have lost 1.7 lbs (which is still really good) but the body is of course not that simplistic. I also missed a day for my vitamin, did not get the sleep I have been getting and did not drink as much water as I am supposed to. I think all of these things combined to create bad results and I hope next week I can do a lot better. Maybe hit that 2 lbs finally.

Due to my leg injury I was not able to hit the intensity I usually do so I was only able to do 1 30 Day Shred and 1 C25K. So I am behind on those as well. I got my xrays done over the weekend and my follow up appointment is on Tuesday. Hopefully I will get a solution to my issue so I can jump right into it again.

In other news my hubby and I are bringing back the weight loss challenge. It will only be for 5 weeks but I am excited to get it going. Official weigh-in was today. There will be a weekly winner for % lost that week and challenge winner for % lost overall. I kicked his butt last time with a loss of 8.53% overall vs his 6.52%.

    Don't let the plateau get you down. I did that and ended up gaining back 34 of the 40 pounds that I had worked so hard to lose. So here I am again working hard to take the pounds off and hopefully keep them off this time. Good Luck on your journey. emoticon emoticon
