Day #267 - Happy Hippy Monday

Happy Monday Sparkers!!! Yeah I'm a bit over the top this morning!!! Today I'm starting with a green smoothie for breakfast. Hoping to make it through the day with my green smoothie for lunch, fruit and veggies for snacking. I even brought some oranges which I typically avoid. Hoping I don't end up with a headache but I was sooooo wanting one. Trying to break some habits and put a dent in this weight loss. I originally started my journey in May 2012 with green smoothies for breakfast and lunch and fruit/veggie snacks. I eat a sensible dinner. I think I did this like a 3-4 weeks straight. I lost weight... I felt a whole lot better, but at that time I was battling anemia. I wasn't exercising at the levels I am now but it helped me to get it together. Hoping that I can make it through this week doing the same thing.

Weekend: I didn't workout per se...I did A LOT of cleaning. Scrubbed my bathroom from top of the ceiling down to the floors. Purged the cabinets, added the new decor and waaalllllaaaahhh beautiful. Sorted through several bags of purged clothing and delivered yesterday to their new home. Got a lot more bags/boxes to go to goodwill. Will pack my car today. Purged and reorganized my linen closet! Washed/dried/put away clothes, cooked dinner yesterday and 2 meals on Saturday. Taped up my walls for painting and just got some stuff done. Treated myself to a manicure/pedicure and I decided to try a new salon spa that just opened and lo and behold I walk in and there's the guy that had left my prior salon. I was over the top when I saw him, the place was gorgeous. emoticon

This week I'm focusing on drinking my green smoothies, eating more fruit and veggies. I did drink all of my water on Saturday. I only drank 1/2 my bottles yesterday but I did eat regularly.

Friday I got 2 compliments. Neither of these ladies have seen me leave with my workout gear on nor do they know I'm making a healthy change. I was taking photos of a group of people and she was part of the group, she does the mouthing and hand gestures that say you look slimmer, thumbs up. The 2nd lady came up to me while I was waiting on my lunch buddy and she says you're slimming down nicely. Oh my...So I decided yesterday while getting ready for church to whip out the tape measure and do a quick check and I'm down .5 on my upper torso and waist...oh my. The upper torso is definitely my focal point but I've always had a defined waistline. It's the upper tummy and lower kangaroo pouch that I can't stand. In due season change gonna come... So here's to going back to square one and doing what was working.

Need to look back at my blogs to see what kind of weight loss I was having and what I was eating too.

Today of course gym, 50 second plank, 85 squats and 15 jacks also weights today.

    You HAVE TO BE losing inches with all of the hardwork you have been putting in. Forget what the scale says, you are changing!
