Probably not the greatest thing that one of the first things I did after getting to the hotel today was going back out for a snackage run. Sure, the items procured will be consumed over a space of 4 days, or even taken into work and shared out, but I feel a bit dumb, but decidedly not guilty, about having done it. Might be a tiny bit of defiance in there, even, which I fail to really understand, but there you have it.
Started Sunday at 176.6 lb, 4 lbs above the low figure of 172.6 recorded 17 days ago. It's not all due to road life, but the reduced exercise opportunities (available, or taken) have played a role, certainly. Need to make that a priority, or at the very least, mess around with the in room activities pointed out me to by some of you. They're not as fun as pickleball, that's part of the problem. So much easier to exercise when you actually enjoy what you're doing, you know? The sleeping in on the weekend, in attempt to catch up on sleep, took away the chance to play pickelball, as that is set up on Friday and Saturday mornings. I'll have to eschew sleep early on and take a nap later if I have to, in order to get there at the end of this week.
I'll have to grab that lost and found scale again this week. Curious as to what that sucker will have to say to me this week.
Oh, and one more random thing: the whole getting a rental car each week thing might as well become a extended test drive for whenever it comes time to replace my now ten year old Civic. This week's candidate, a Chevy Cruze. Sucker's got heated leather seats. And the coolest thing about it? The switchblade key! Never seen one of those before, where the key portion can be tucked into the head portion, and unleashed by clicking on a button. Ok, so I'm pretty easily amused.
Edit: forgot to explain the blog title: one of the snackages grabbed was Chili lime Doritos Dinomite, basically Doritos in rolled up form, and with a nice kick. A Mexican thing, I'm guessing from the flavor. It's good stuff, but I cracked it open just to try out one or two 'chips', and I went from verging towards sleep to being relatively awake. A couple of swigs of water, and scribbling out this blog, and I'm drifting again. Might do well to turn off this Lamb of God album if I want that sleep thing to occur soonish, as needs to happen, what with the 5:30 alarm looming.
