A couple of walks will do me good

Took 10 minutes last night at work to go for a quick walk to the restroom and try to wake up! I took the long way around and went downstairs, through the Physicians' parking garage, up the furthest steps to the restroom on the same level as pharmacy is but on the other end of the hospital and then reversed my route and came back the long way to the pharmacy. It took me about 10 minutes and I burned some pretty good calories with all the steps I took.

When I got up today I made a double batch of beef stew and then took off for a walk in the neighborhood. I walked for 24 minutes and covered 1.56 miles. I tried running for a couple of minutes but decided my toe is still too sore to do any running for a little while. The bruise is fading now (it's been a week tomorrow) but it's still sore enough that I think I'll listen to my body and keep everything a little light.

    That was a string decision to use 10 minutes at work to walk.
I do agree we have to listen to our bodies
