I tried a few new recipes this weekend and this is my favorite. I found it in my collection. It's easy to make and soooooooooo good!
Chocolate Avocado Shake
Makes 2 servings (but could actually be 3-4 since a serving is plenty)
I ripe avocado, halved and pitted
1 1/2 C vanilla almond milk or milk of your choice
3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (I used 2 Tbsp of dark chocolate cocoa)
3 Tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup, or to taste
2 Tbsp semisweet chocolate chips, melted or nondairy choc chips
1 Tbsp vanilla extract, or to taste
12 ice cubes
Scoop avocado into a blender; add milk, cocoa, brown sugar, or maple syrup, melted chocolate and vanilla. Pulse and puree until smooth. Add ice and puree until thick and frosty.
381 calories per serving (1 3/4 C)
I put half of this in the refridgerator and drank it later on after blending again.
