I'm not Irish, even on St. Patrick's Day.

Sunday, March 17, 2013

When I was in my 20's I was Irish one day a year...on St. Patrick's Day! Now that I'm "mature," and not wanting to use those calories for such trivial pursuits, I'm not a practicing Irishwoman anytime! I'm a German/Swede married to a Norwegian/Fin that can trace his roots back to the Vikings.

I will use my calories needlessly if a holiday such as Viking Day is ever created! emoticon
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all Irish and one day only Irish. Stay safe! emoticon

I am a Heinz 57. We have some Iris, Scottish and some other stuff too. I can't remeber it all. I absolutely love corned beef and Reubens and such. However, I stayed away from it all.....oh, and Tequila too...YUM!

I had to add that we do eat corn beef and cabbage! I just eat a smaller portion. I'm not really a beer drinker, but I'll drink tequila and margaritas with anyone!!! So how does that work? A German/Swede that drinks Mexican? I'm multicultural! emoticon

Good for you to pass on drinking green beer and corned beef.
Have a terrific week!

I just like wearing green and sparking the imagination of the little ones in my care - so much fun looking for that pot of gold!

Well put! I'm English on my mom's side, House of Gibson. Brits are supposed to wear blue. I did...and green as well. I'll drink with anyone!

I'm of Irish decent, made the traditional corned beef & cabbage, but stayed within my calorie range. No green beer, no desserts - I was a good litle leprechurn.

I hope they come up with a Viking Day for you.

YAY.....let's hear it for us German/Swede's (no kidding I am too...lol) used to be married to a part Irishman so made corned beef and cabbage this day every year, now I'm married to a part Scotsman (big flipping difference I know...) stubborn ol' coot...LOL

And I think Viking Day would be FUN.
