What to do, what to do...

Tomorrow I begin working 12 hr shifts 6-7 days a week. This will not be an easy task for me as far as my eating and exercise is concerned. I will make sure that I pack a healthy lunch for work, but what do I do as far as dinner? I'll end up eating around 8pm and I go to bed around 10. There will be no time for doing any workouts. I'm a pipe fitter, the work I do requires walking and lifting. There will be times I will be in extreme cold and heat, but according to my doctor it will not count as getting exercise. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

    Wow! that is a lot of hours!
    Look on My recipes and make some "3Taco Soup". It makes a lot, it is healthy, and tastes wonderful.

    That sounds like a lot of work hours—good for you!

    For dinner, try to make a healthy meal that will last for a couple of days or something that you can cut into meal-size portions and freeze, like a healthy lasagne or other sort of casserole. You can also hardboil a dozen eggs and add one or two to a spinach salad a couple of nights.

    For fitness, try to take a brisk walk during your breaks. As the SparkPeople coaches say, even 10 minutes is something, and I've found this to be very helpful when I'm in a time crunch.
