FSC Blog Challenge: Mini Goal

Sunday, March 17, 2013

My mini goal for the next 60days is: To plan meals at least one day ahead!!

Now I know what you are thinking........too easy, everyone does that, cop out, etc.!!!! NOT!!!! For me, this is extremely hard!!!! I can plan all I want but I don't ever follow the plan!! I can, if cornered, plan a few days menues & make a grocery list.......then go to the store where the plan goes out the window along with the list!!!!

this froggie wants what she wants & it ain't healthy!!!! LOL!!!! SO.....now I need to break this cycle of self-sabotage & get with the program!!!! {{how many times have I said THAT before??!!}} emoticon

I feel so NOT in control right now, what with having to move in with Mom & pack up my 50yrs of packratting stuff so I can rent my house out which I really don't want to do........breathe.......maybe this will give me a little contol & stability in my life right now??!!

I imagine myself being more successful with my lifestyle change to healthier!! Floating in the pool after working out then having a healthy, planned lunch!!!! I am positive that planning meals ahead will help me to succeed!!!!

if your problem lies in the fact that when you get to the shop your eyes take over your head(i.e.list)find away around it.maybe concider ordering your food.many shops theese days have an online service where you can order on line and they deliver.it may seem a bit dearer than buying it in yourself but when you concider the time spent round the shop shopping and queing, plus the time of traverling to and from y.the shop.the money and calories you will save by not buying high sugar,hi fat empty calories you might be tempted to buy when you see them .it is worth that little bit extra to get it delivered for you.you can use all that extra time on all sorts of things
a bath or manicure
talking to friends
exercise
putting on make up
reading a good book.etc.etc.something to think about love .know you can do anything you put your mind to.you just have to plan it and carry that plan through emoticon

Can I suggest you drive with the windows closed?

I'm with you on the menu planning, but then not following the plan. I heard this advice somewhere "Don't re-invent the wheel every day." Have a small collection of recipes / meals and repeat them over and over again. You'll know the calorie counts and portion sizes by heart.

I have trouble too planning my meals. I'm consistent with breakfast and lunch, but dinners are on a whim. I need to plan at least in the morning so I can have the calories set for the day - that's at least good enough for me! As long as you have the right ingredients in the house, then you'll be successful!

I think planning your meals is a huge step and in the right direction...I have mentioned my frappe addiction several times in my blogs and how important it is that I stop them as I am sabotaging myself right into diabetes and being sick...So last Sunday I drank my last one.
Today is day # 7 without one I had the worst withdrawls from the sugar and caffeine on day 5 but the last 2 days I have felt much better and I know that I can't have what I want if I want to achieve my goals.
You can do this Jae I know you can! Your strong just dig deep and find that Girl power my friend emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

emoticon emoticon Rah rah ree Froggie! You can do this!
I just plan dinner menus for the week. I buy the ingredients to fix it and then I pick and choose out of those menus. I don't make a set night for a set meal. By doing it this way, Marlene gets what Marlene wants when she wants to eat it.
