Les Mills Combat

Okay, I started Les Mills Combat this morning and...do I even have to say it? For those of you who read my insane ramblings (and whining), you know that my soul mate workout is anything kickboxing/martial arts. You also know that my requirements for a good workout include great music (pop or rap preferred) and energetic instructors. Put these all together and for me, it's perfection. That's what I found this morning with Les Mills.

Its not nearly as fast as Turbo Fire but I don't think its meant to be that type of workout. To me it's more form focused which I needed. I've been doing Martial Arts type workouts for so long that I tend to believe that my form is good but each time I go through a new tutorial I realize that I have forgotten some things

Their Basics DVD was excellent and carefully taught moves from the martial arts that are used in the program. Karate/Kung fu, Capoeira, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai ,Tae Kwon Do and Boxing.

I followed that with the Combat Kickstart 30 which was basic but still with enough variety to make it exciting. The instructors are bright, funny and they have enough energy to help push you through the workouts.

I know after my Kettlebell post that this makes me kind of promiscuous but again, I'm in love. emoticon

    ... great review!... I love it too!... I have done both Kickstart and the Kata one. The moves are authentic and attention to form is stressed, a very thorough workout. I like that I am actually doing MMA moves... I love the gloves too!

    My husband just got done with that program and lost 15 pounds! He really liked it. I tried it myself but it just was not TurboFire...one day I will have to try to go through the whole program. I cannot wait to hear about your results & good luck!
