My program is working, my perception not so much

emoticon I have accomplished a whole week of fast track goals that have made a difference. The goals are:

emoticon I drank 8 cups of water each day. Its been challenging finding the rhythm and pace to get it all drank without chugging a lot at the end of the evening, but my body is loving this. As a result I'm eating about 200 calories less a day, and the scale is in agreement.

emoticon Another goal is to read something motivational each day, which is setting me up for success and filling my mind with positive thoughts. I'm still reading 'Women, Food and God' and its really helped me get ahold of the reigns on my emotional eating.

emoticon And the last of the three goals is to do a minimum of 10 minutes of fitness a day. I'm getting to know the Spark videos for those days I haven't gotten outside, and when I do get out my mind is made up for a good workout.

I'm so grateful to be feeling the positive results from my efforts. I'm down 1.5 pounds this week, YES.

emoticon So, my perception. I'm feeling fit and energized and motivated and so I went shopping for some clothes. What a shock it was to see that I can barely fit into a size large top. And of course my mind first went to "Well of course they've changed all the sizes now and a medium is really a large ..." Good grief, get a grip on reality. YOU ATE TOO MUCH DEAR -- the whole entire clothing industry did not alter their size charts. I've really had some blinders on this winter.

But instead of beating myself up, I took a good long view in the mirror, and looked at reality. I'm glad my inner self is happy and feeling fit and free, but it needs to see that this outer self is short and chubby and quite a lumpkin, and wants to match that fit and trim perception.

I'm proud to say I did not twist off and eat over this. I remained calm, continued with my program, got in my fitness any my water and tracked tonight, and am moving forward. Its time to get a mirror back in my house so I can keep my perception in reality and let it work for me.

I finished a free week with Spark Coach and signed up for three months, and with their special I got two free dvd's coming in the mail, and I got 5 free e books downloaded. I am planning for success.
