The top 10 things I learned...the hard way

10. Under-eating leads to over-eating
9. Starchy carbs like rice, bread & pasta and alcohol make me hold water
8. Sometimes I'll lose inches, not pounds
7. Community support makes me feel better
6. Exercise can improve my mood
5. Sometimes motivation is low and you just have to suck it up
4. It's OK to lose weight slow, even half a pound a week is good
3. Sometimes I'll gain weight
2. Treasure the non-scale victories

And the number 1 thing I learned:
Emotional eating doesn't make me feel better
