Back to Routine!! This week's plan :)

Saturday, March 16, 2013

Did ya miss me?? :) We went out of town this week for spring break. It was fun, but I'm glad to be home and back to my routine. Eating out every meal has killed my waistline and my bank account. I didn't get any intentional exercise in, but was very active with the kids. Have a 5k coming up 4/20 and I'd like to break 30:00. That is going to take some serious work!

Dinner - Corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots. I look forward to this every St. Patrick's Day. Bought extra so I will have plenty for lunch this week.
Workout - 50 minute kettlebell dvd, short fast run

Dinner - Stromboli, tomato soup, raw veggies. I layer lunch meat and cheese on canned pizza dough. Roll it up and bake it. YUM!
Workout - 3 mile run

Dinner - Roasted chicken legs/thighs, potatoes, okra. I heard from a friend that she bakes her breaded okra in the oven to save the calories from frying it. I can't wait to try it!
Workout - 50 minute kettlebell dvd

Dinner - baked chicken fajitas, raw veggies. Trying the Budget Bites recipe for the Maintainer's Team recipe game. Watch for the review!

Workout - run

Dinner - Roasted pork chops, potatoes, veggies
Workout - Strength training of my choice!

Dinner - Fish, mac and cheese, veggies. I bought some breaded flounder that I am excited to try. For the mac and cheese, I bought a lean cuisine and me and DH split it. Portion control at its finest!
Workout - run

Dinner - Steak, baked fries, roasted broccoli
Workout - REST!!

Great menu for the week --- I wish I could plan so precisely that far ahead. Most times I plan a day ahead, but a week ahead is a good idea for keeping on track and knowing the calorie count for the week can be very helpful for many of us.

I did check out the jump rope video, thanks for the tip.

Good Luck on your 5K!
