Damn You, Costco!

Saturday, March 16, 2013

I love Costco. It's almost like an everything in bulk wonderland where you find great products and awesome tastings while you shop. Where else do you go in with a list of what you know you want, and you leave with that plus way too much of stuff you didn't know you wanted...or didn't know existed until you tasted it while you were shopping?! If I grab another huge cake, tub of crab chowder or box of calamari (who knew I'd like calamari?), DH is going to flip! Ok...I must stop tasting this stuff. That is the only answer. emoticon

Oh yes, they know what they're doing--I always buy what I sample!

I'm with PrettyPithy's and Kal's outlook; i only taste to have something to nosh while i'm shopping so that i won't overbuy stuff i don't need! LOL i don't think they MEAN for me to take advantage of it that way; but i nearly always forget to eat before we go!

ps we only have Sams Club; no Costco! But i don't have any Amex either! Grrr Costco. BAD Store! emoticon

I allow myself to have a sample bite of something that they have but not to take it home if it's something *I* love. It isn't affectionately named the $100 club for nothing! We go every week and I still spend too much. Some things are too good of a deal NOT to get there vs. the market. I get almonds there, our water, coconut oil, olive oil, Tide. What's your fav?

Haha! I do the same thing at our Sam's Club! I go in for a couple things, however, I RARELY ever leave without spending at least $100!

And those darn samples!! I taste something and next thing you know, it's in my cart! I just bought some chipotle bean burgers that actually tasted really good! I would've never bought them if I didn't try them!

Haha! I just don't taste anymore. But I remember when I was in college, my friends and I would go to Whole Foods on Saturdays when they had tons of samples out and make a lunch of it! emoticon

I love costco....but the sig and I limit ourselves to what we buy.....its our goto for staples....but we almost never buy bread / cake / treats because stimes we don't like em and they go to waste...or we really like em and make ourselves sick!

Its hard not to gorge on samples, tho...

I love Costco! Sam's is a fine place, too! Yes, we have both memberships! There are just things I can get only at Costco and things I can get only at Sam's....

Now I'm thinking of the chocolate layer cake at Costco....O! M! G!
