5k Success!!!!!

Saturday, March 16, 2013

Finished my first 5k in 13 years and about 60 pounds ago. Goal 1 met.

Finished a 5k in less than 45 minutes. Goal 2 met.

Finished a 5k without walking or stopping, not even once. Goal 3 met.

(Note: this is the FIRST time I have done this. Not even in high school when I ran cross country was I able to run a race without stopping.)

Agh!!!! WOOOO!!!!!!!

That was awesome! All behold my awesome stumble and flail!!

Hilarious part: I was told by a couple folks that they heard from others in the race how I was trucking it, and that some were using me to keep pace! That's nuts and sad - I'm so slow! Made me feel great though! :)

Ok... What will be my next one.... I'm hungry for it now....

Congratulations! You have inspired me to get back into foot racing! I have not raced since I severely tore my calf at the start of the Leadville 10K Trail race and finished in an abysmal 1 hour and 12 minutes.

I think I need to start racing again. You are doing so well!

Forty-five minutes that's great. My first emoticon was 60 minutes and dead last on the board. I did a walk/jog combination. I'm still working on improving my time. So, kudos to you on your time. emoticon
