I had an interesting week in terms of my self esteem. One day at work we all decided to wear pink. We had a fun moment one day when me and this other girl wore the same shirt one day so the next day we all decided to wear pink. I wasn't too thrilled about the colour choice because the only pink shirt I have my mom got me for christmas and it doesn't fit well. Its big and boxy and makes me look fat. I try and wear better fitted stuff so it doesn't look like i'm in a sack, but my mom got it and its a fancy brand and I don't have too many work clothes that fit really well so its still in my regular wardrobe. I felt awkward all day and passed at the opportunity to go out with a friend after dinner because I wouldn't be able to change first. But on Monday I went to the Game of Thrones exhibit here in Toronto after work with a friend. They give you the opportunity to take a picture sitting on the Iron Throne (if you don't watch the show, you should!) i normally don't like getting my picture taken because I hate how I look. And especially for something so important to my geekdom, I wanted it to be a picture I didn't regret. Well, I got the picture and Wow! I look awesome in it! So it was a week of ups and downs. When I came home the other day in the outfit I didn't like, I just looked at the picture and smiled. I reminded myself that I can look awesome, and I am working at minimizing thsoe bad days, but a big part of it is my attitude. I'm glad I didn't let the one bad day ruin my whole week and did allow the one great day to keep me motivated!!
