I'm the one in the yellow shirt in the middle. I ran my 10K in 1:01:13 which is a PR (personal record) for me. I was the first woman finisher and third overall. I set my new Garmin for run 4 minutes/walk 1 minute -- but I'd just walk until I felt recovered, 35-50 seconds. My fastest mile was mile 4 in 9:22. My fastest pace was 8:30 per the Garmin, but I don't know the distance on that one. No one was running my pace so I just carried a flashlight and ran by myself. The director had told us to run in pairs, but if I was going to run my race I had to risk doing it alone. No problems. We started at 6:15am and saw the sunrise. It was 41 degrees.
I do think I'm getting to be a better runner and to be doing this at age 63 is just incredible to me!! Oh, and by the way, I weighed 126.6 this morn at 5am, just .6 pounds over my target. I'll be there soon.
Edit: Below is the picture of the beginning of the race.
