I have just spent three days helping to look after my 16 month old granddaughter, Marle. I thought of ways to keep exercising even if I didīnt have very much time to myself: I pushed her in the pram up a steep country lane and broke into a sort of jog every now and then. Then I pulled her on her sledge through the snow and hopped around the sitting room throwing her up in the air and danced with her to old jazz music, which she thought was hilarious. Yesterday we visited friends and went on a nice walk around a park in the sparkling snowy sunshine.
Even though I ate icecream and cake twice, I still feel as if I have stayed on track this week. Maybe love and joy burn up calories too!
