I love all kinds of music. Did I tell you I also love Irish/Celtic music?
As a former dancer, when I studied ballet, tap dancing, and other forms, I also fell in love with Irish Step Dancing. I have not YET learned step-dancing, but I know how hard I worked at tap dancing. You NEED coordination AND stamina! Step dancing looks even more complex and rigorous! It is absolutely amazing to see how these dancers' feet move!
The best musical I ever saw in person (and to date, my favorite) is RIVERDANCE. I saw it with the original performers - Michael Flatley and Jean Butler. It was amazing. In short, it tells the story of Ireland from the rise of Celtic culture and progressing through immigration to America to the present day. The music and the dancing is absolutely phenomenal, and if you have not seen it, it is worth it for both cultural enrichment and pure enjoyment.
Here's some clips on Youtube - some dances start slow but build up to amazing speed - worth the patience to watch it. And watch those feet!
