I just bought SLOW, FAT TRIATHLETE by Jayne Williams.
One thing I realized years ago is that thinness and fitness do not necessarily go hand-in-hand. Plenty of normal weight people do not eat right, don't exercise enough, are stressed out and are not in good health.
Anyway, during a conversation with a neighbor about this subject, this book was recommended to me. I just started it, so it's too soon for a review, but so far, it's looking good. It's basically about a heavier woman who is a triathelete.
On the home front, we bought a n/used car today so I am THRILLED to be mobile again. We are three miles from the beach where there is a board walk with beautiful ocean views, If you walk out to the point and back it's three miles--something to work up to.
And 90% is a flat, even walkway, making it easier for someone who hasn't been walking for awhile. My neighborhood is extremely hilly and impossible for me to do at this point. So now that I have wheels again, I can go to the boardwalk anytime I want! Yippeeee!
So, new car, a lot more work around the house, and another day that I stayed on my food plan and drank enough water. I've also been tracking my blood pressure and that, slowly but surely, seems to be going down.
