Springing into Action Week 4 Bonus Challenge

Our bonus challenge this week was to read 4 articles on and comment on them. Here are my choices:

Stay Motivated While the Scale Isn't Moving - great article. A few of my favorite quotes to stay motivated are: "The first and best victory is to conquer self." Plato and "The good Lord gave you a body that can stand almost anything. It's your mind you have to convince." Vince Lombardi

Scale Haters Unite - (I see a theme here lol), Another great article. I loved it!! I have been using the other fitness baselines mentioned in the article. They really help! Measurements, clothing fit, etc. are great motivators. I also love all of the Spark items it suggests using. I use all of them. It is very motivating to see my spark points and fitness minutes add up!

Dietgirl Shares Her 20 Best Weight Loss Secrets - very inspiring and motivating. I plan on printing this list and posting it beside my visual poster. A few of my favorite quotes from the article were "Don't compare yourself to others, just work within your limits and take it slow and steady.", "Be kind to yourself and your body.", "Feel your emotions, don't feed them.", "Accept that sometimes it's going to suck." and "Don't wait to be skinny to start living your life."

Turning It Around When You're Spiraling Out of Control - I really needed this article!!! The two main things I took away from this article were I'm not alone and I need to stop beating myself up. I need to realize when I'm out of control and get back to the basics that have brought me this far in my journey!!!!
