Progress in life

Friday, March 15, 2013

First, I feel like I am making progress in my every day life. Today I watched my granddaughter at home again. Between feeding, entertaining, changing diapers, I was able to move a book shelf, sort through some books, and clean some more in my pantry.
Our local Half Price Books store is having a collection of books for kids, and I found some that I want to donate to that. And then I have other books that I want to keep, and some that need to be prepared to donate (Names have to be scratched off)

In the pantry, I threw away nearly an entire garbage can of expired food. I also got a few more things to donate for the food bank, and cleaned out more of what is in the cupboard. I have made a lot of progress in that regard.

But really the biggest progress I seem to be making is that I am having lots more energy, and it feels great. I am very encouraged by that, and I haven't lost that much weight. But according to my Curves measurements I have lost 7 lbs, and more importantly I lost 2.5 lbs of body fat. That means I am gaining muscle, and I can feel it in my body too.

I did not exercise today in the traditional way, but I took care of a baby for 11 hours, had a visit with my son and his wife and my grandson, cleaned, cleaned, and cleaned some more. So I feel that today was a successful day.

WOW! What a great day! Accomplishment AND grandbabies! :) What more could you want? Maybe the rapture?! lol

I'm really impressed at all you accomplished today! and proud of you! It's not easy to get started again when we have slowed down (for me, almost stopped)...

Have a great tomorrow, my dear friend and sister!!

emoticon Cleaning and childcare are both good exercise, even if they're not on the list for strength training or cardio!! Keep up the good work.
