Remembered to wear my pedometer today...

Hi..I remembered to wear my pedometer today and so far I've logged 8.5 miles..the only pedometer I could find is stuck on miles instead of steps and I can't figure out how to change it...this also didn't count hubby getting me out of bed at 4:30 am to help with a cow was hard to get the cow in and then we needed to help her with the calf puller and straps..only the second time this year we've had to use the calf puller...all was fine and we were able to get a bit more sleep before the day began...and the snow and wind were viscous!!!

We did the usual chores and checking and feeding and I visited on the phone to my neighbor..we were planning to attend the annual ladies night out in our small's next week so it will be something fun to look forward too..will be nice to get away for awhile...

I did a bit of house stuff...caught up with dishes and made a big pan of granola bars..cut up made 20 little will make great snacks for me in the days ahead... meals were breakfast..cereal and milk; lunch spinach and roast beef salad with horseradish dressing; supper was homemade thin crust ham and pineapple pizza and orange floats...yum yum :) for a snack I sampled one of my granola bars....

The snow has stopped for now but it's turned really really cold!! More snow is expected for Sat and Sun...will this winter never end?? It makes the calving 2 to 3 times more work..and us old guys are getting tired!!

Well got lots and lots of exercise and did my stretches..still haven't caught up on my daily meditation challenge but really enjoyed meditating yesterday...maybe I'll have a wee bit of spare time tomorrow...

Time to think of some St. Patrick's day treats..or like I saw on the tv tonight...St Patrick Day weekend (well may as well make a weekend of it..haha) Crack out the green beers and some Irish stew or something...found some knock off recipes for shamrock shakes..lower cal...and love key lime pie and or grasshopper pie :) Think I'll be making peas soup for tomorrow and have lots of green veggies on hand like peas, cabbage, beans , spinach, cucumbers and green peppers..yum yum!! feeling kind of sleep deprived as I went to bed after midnight and was up at 4:30...think I'll just relax with my feet hockey and maybe sip a light beer, read some's been a long day, again...
