Khloe's Bladder Update

Friday, March 15, 2013

My vet called today. The good news is that Khloe's culture didn't grow any bacteria and they have ruled out an actual bladder infection. Her blood work was also good and no signs of diabetes. The problem is........they don't know what's wrong with her.

So, the vet is putting her on a "geriatric" med (she is 6 months old).......that is supposed to tighten one of her bladder muscles. We are praying this will work........she will be on it for 1 month as a trial.........the vet said we needed to pray because if this doesn't work, then they have to do diagnostic testing (which I can't afford).

I've already done the needle into her bladder and blood work but next is an ultrasound and possible dye injection and if her plumbing is messed up, then surgery. She said her fear is that she is leaking urine and that it is pooling somewhere. As it pools.....bacteria gets to it. She said her UAs are showing inflammation.

Praying hard. I love my rescues but I still haven't recovered from all the vet bills from November with Kodak and then having to put her down..........and I have Kaysia who even though her pills are fairly cheap, has to eat special food ($45 a bag) and now Khloe's bladder problem.

Hoping and praying that your vet can help you find a way to figure out what's up with Khloe without surgery!

And let's start looking(did you see me post awhile ago on my facebook about a group that helps with cases like this? We need to start researching just in case....)

Hugs and prayers for you and your fur baby... emoticon emoticon
