I love that song and scene!

Every family has its traditions, for holidays, birthdays, and other special events. I love the tradition I've experienced in Peru, where the guests express to the person whose birthday it is, how much they've meant to them. So much nicer to hear it while you're alive rather than waiting till you're dead!

We've had a tradition in my family that we started when the kids were small. Tired of winter, we'd await the sighting of the "first" robin (or the FIRST sighting by one of US of a returning robin!) Upon seeing one, we send out for pizza!

Well, I was taking my daughter Glitterfairy1977 to practice driving, and as we're going along, I notice a little silhouette by the roadside, and recognize the "pounce" upon a worm or grub - ROBIN! I pointed enthusiastically and we started doing as much Happy Dance as we could given the circumstances (mainly just waving our hands and bouncing up and down).

But she really didn't feel like pizza. So we did some of Wegman's hot food bars. I definitely overdid it on my calories. But it WAS a special ocasion.

A ROBIN, after all!

Oh worth the celebration Shel! I saw a pair last week as I went out to check mail and it was a gift I tell ya!
They are beautiful, and God gave me that on that sad day when sorrow overtook me and my spirits were low. I know those times will come and go...but I can rejoice always in knowing God sees me, loves me and has me in His care...
