Dilemma and struggles

This week has not gone as well as I thought it would. I thought this week would be easy! I love fruits and veggies and started out the week great. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday went fantastic. Yesterday went alright but it wasn't the end of the world. I missed a fruit for breakfast but didn't have any at dinner. To me, I thought it happens but I didn't earn my reward for the week. Well, today has gone horribly. I have hardly had any fruits or veggies!!! I understand the it is progress and it is going to take time but I thought this week would be easier. This is going to be harder than I thought but the hard work is completely worth it! I will take another week with veggies and try to add my own sides if we go out to eat, like instead of fries make my own carrots and broccoli.
Workouts this week have gone pretty good. Yesterday was the only day I haven't worked out and I will give myself yesterday. Three days in a row, take a break and get back on for another 3 days. I am beginning to rethink the training for a 5k on the elliptical and it isn't quite nice enough to train outside. I am debating doing aerobics for awhile because I know that I lose weight doing aerobics and I enjoy it. On the other hand, I think that it would be easy to workout with my son if I get into a running habit because he loves going for runs in his jogging stroller. So this is a dilemma that I am considering. I might take more time for the couch to 5k program and train the first part on the elliptical. I just feel I burn more and build more muscle doing aerobics.
I am trying to be realistic with myself and realize that I am making progress even if it is slower than I would like.
