Fighting cravings

Not sure what is going on but for the last week plus I have had major cravings for french fries. Yesterday the chip craving came too. I almost went and got fries for lunch but remembered that we are out for dinner tonight so I need a lighter lunch.

I plan on having potatoes on Sunday so hopefully that will stop it but I don't know how much longer I can fight this one. They didn't help though when we had them on Saturday.

    Ugh! Cravings are the worst! Unfortunately, I cannot give any words of wisdom or advice because I usually give into them :(

I like your plan to wait for an occasion already planned so you are not indulging too many times. I guess I do that, too. When I know there is an eating occasion coming up, I will be a little more careful leading up to it and then enjoy the "treats" (hopefully in moderation).

    It really is rough toughing out cravings. The hardest part is that carbs *cause* those cravings, so ANY that you eat will increase your misery!

    Cravings are the pits. I usually snag a couple fries from hubby when I need a fix and we are out to eat. Hang in there if you can, hope the potatoes on Sunday help.

    Don't fight to hard that you sabotage yourself by obsessing over the fries. You could do more harm than good. Depending on your own situation, once a month get a kid's size fries and enjoy them. Write it down so it doesn't creep in and become a twice a week thing.

But the point is not to end up obsessing over the fries to the point of throwing in the towel completely.

  You can make your own fries and chips (baked) so it will be less calories!

    Sorry to hear about this. Cravings can be unbelievably strong sometimes. They just take over your whole brain.

I hope you can hold out for Sunday. And have a very happy St. Patrick's Day!
