FIT Camp was a HUGE success!! I enjoyed every minute of it! I loved figuring out our workouts each night. My oldest son has decided to play baseball, so I had to cut FIT Camp 2 months short. It was a hard decision to make, but one everyone understood. Attendance had tapered off due to sports anyways. FIT Camp will continue through email and on Facebook. I am giving out weekly workout plans + we are going to have monthly weigh ins with prizes through the end of May. This is the best way to keep everyone motivated and I'm still able to help out. And once I get my son's baseball schedule I will have workouts at my house. I had so much fun working out with everyone, it was nice to step out of my comfort zone. Great friendship were made, too.
With baseball season starting my son is on the bench due to an injury that possibly happen in the last game of his football season in Nov '12. He's been complaining of his right shoulder hurting while weight lifting. He seen an Ortho Dr in January. Dr requested limited weight lifting for 4 weeks. After those weeks my son went full out weight lifting with two competitions... then onto baseball and my son is a pitcher. A couple of weeks ago he cut practice short, because his shoulder was on fire and felt like some was cutting it out...ugh! We just went back to the doctor on Monday, because he and I got the flu the week before. That was horrible!! Ortho dr has benched him from any sports for the next 2-3 weeks. The x-ray shows that everything looks good, so he could have a stress fracture in his growth plate that hasn't been given a chance to heal. Luckily my kids are on Spring Break next week, so he will be able to rest his arm lots.
With how crazy everything has been it's been hard to be on here as often as I had been. I'm starting to get back into the swing of things now that I'm starting to feel better. I was so hoping I wouldn't get the flu. Unfortunately I think I got my preschool student sick, too =( My whole class was finally back yesterday ~ Yeah! THEN... my running partner broke her toe, ugh!! Really!!! Since the flu I've been tip toeing back into running...but now we may not being doing the half marathon in April. My friend and I stick together, so we may do the 5K again this year.
Now onto Spring Break... We aren't doing much, planning on hanging out with my boys mostly and sleeping.
