It's been another month. I have been really busy this past quarter, but this is the last week of classes (I'm not taking any, but am TAing) and next week is finals (I just have to grade the finals). I overextended myself this quarter and only had enough time for work and TAing; research fell by the wayside, which was really not good.

I have really missed this place and hope to be able to check in more than once a month soon!! So, I've still been having a bit of a rough time (increased bingeing and my weight creeping over 140 lbs reflected this), but I'm still fighting. I'm glad to report the past 2 weeks I feel like I finally stopped what had been a really bad streak, where things were mostly bad. At least now I'm back to a more normal range of ups and downs...and heck I'll take anything at this point. Things were pretty bad.

Need to try and get some work done today but I let myself have 20 minutes here. I'll work on doing that more frequently. I really miss everyone here!

Staying Positive.

+ I started seeing a therapist and even though I don't connect with her too well at the moment, we're still getting to know each other and I'll try and keep an open mind about it and not give up just yet.

+ I've just started back up running again, and contacted another friend from the group who was also off for a while due to craziness in her life, so that we can build back up with slow, easy, but consistent runs, rather than try to rejoin the group straightaway and risk injury (neither of us trust ourselves not to overdo it if we just go back to the group) by going too fast or too far too soon. We were both really missing the social aspect of running as well, since for both of us, our running buddies are also our main friends. I'm so grateful that we happened to both be ready to start back up at the same time.

+ Soon I'll be done with TAing so I'll have more time to work on research.

  With therapy and running, you're going to be feeling so good! Most importantly, you're being proactive about taking care of yourself!
