so here goes my biggest challenge in the last 4 weeks of doing the workouts and tracking the food ~ I have to cook 2 meals for 30 people on Saturday - lunch & dinner.... as cheap as possible, so of course I go for the spaghetti... come on, you can feed 30 people for probably less than $10.... but here in lies the issue.... I LOVE spaghetti! I mean I LOVE pasta! It's one of my biggest downfalls!
So I'm serving salad (and of course garlic bread) with the spaghetti - so I will focus on the salad I guess..... but really all that 'taste testing' to make sure everything is perfect (gotta make an impression ya know!) I'm also serving penne noodles instead of spaghetti noodles (which will make a difference in how much I eat)... but hey did I mention that I will be baking at least 40 cookies tonight? AND brownies?
Dinner is a little better - pulled pork or chicken sandwiches -- and each person controls the BBQ sauce -- so just eat no bun there and little to no sauce.... but then my favorite potato casserole, baked beans (which I can take or leave depending on the mood, but hardly ever eat more than 1/4 cup) and homemade warm cobbler...
I guess I'm more worried about the "taste testing" and/or, not eating at all because I'm so busy, or snacking my way through....
why oh why did I volunteer for this.... 3 months ago! oh yeah, 'cuz I wasn't on this path 3 months ago!
but I will NOT let this get the best of me! I WILL make sure that I am conscious about it all day!... I CAN have everything I'm serving... it's all about portions, and knowing that it's a one day event... not a way to eat all the time!
