I work 5 days in an office (and one day on my feet all day at a different job) and find when I am in the office after a healthy lunch I am still wanting a snooze around 2pm. I had read it is because your blood sugar is low, your sleep pattern and your choice of lunchtime foods and to combat this you should get your circulation going again.
Today, then, as it's pouring with rain outside, I've just done TWO runs downstairs and up the stairs outside my office, around 30 steps. I had thought I'd easily manage five, but my knees were weakening at two. Therefore a goal of mine is to build up to running up and downstairs FIVE times over the next couple of weeks. And to ignore the stares and comments of people who think I am just a little bit crazy!
That along with 20 sit ups at breakfast and 10 press ups, I might just start to get back into some sort of fitness routine. My trips to the gym are currently few and far between because of other commitments and general tiredness after work, all I really want to do is go home....... I know if you energise it creates more energy but I'm blaming it on the dull, dark, misereable weather at the moment. xx
