Thought and Prayer for Friday, March 15, 2013

Friday, March 15, 2013

We all have to deal with money just about every day. Whether we are living payday to payday or we are in so much debt we can’t even live payday to payday or we are completely debt free. Money issues seem to come around just about every day. The important thing to remember with our money issues is there is really only one solution. God is able to fix our money woes. God is willing and able to help us but we have to first go to Him. He is waiting. He has helped others in the past and He can help us as well.

Joshua 1:8 “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, there are some of us who are constantly struggling with money. We have tried to fix things by borrowing more. We have tried to fix things by increasing our income but finding that we still can’t get out of debt. We have tried and tried on our own but we know we need your help. Please show us how we can manage our money Your way and not our own. Open doors and create opportunities, Lord, on what we need to do. We thank You and we pray these things in Jesus’ name and for His sake, Amen.

Before asking God for help with our financial situation, we need to be sure we are obedient to Him.

Knowing God can help us with our money situations, it is obvious that we need to begin living for Him today and asking Him for answers.

When we go to God with our money woes, He hears our cry and will help.

Psalm 119:146-147 “I cry out to you; rescue me, that I may obey your laws. I rise early, before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words.” (NLT)
