Celebrating what I HAVE accomplished

I have a rather odd work schedule – technically it’s a fulltime job but it is separated into a 2 week period (336 hours) of working and a 2 week period (336 hours) of not working. When I am working run the operating room daily and hold the pager 24/7 for emergency and after hour cases. When I am not working, I usually go to my primary residence, exercise, cook and try to write my first book.

I have a huge problem with over estimating (or over dreaming) what I can get accomplished in my two weeks off. I was feeling quite defeated when I realized that I had not accomplished ALL of the work that I planned on doing this time off.

But this time I wanted to turn this puppy around – this time instead of kicking myself for what I didn’t accomplish – I would celebrate what I did get done. And yes, there was some sitting around on my butt watching TiVo (it really needed a good cleaning off) but I got some good stuff done as well.

Also, a note, After I started the rough draft of this blog I got a call from work – It seems one of my CRNAs hurt his arm and they needed me back a couple of days early. I had only done 28 miles on the bike – maxing out at 6 miles at a time. I had the goal of 36 miles total on the bike – so that last day I pumped it out – it took two separate time out on the bike (the wind was strong) but I got my final 8 miles in to make that goal.

Budget
Completed my budget for February
Setup and started my March budget

I found pictures for 2 vision boards

71 hrs off TiVo – it breathes a lot easier now
