Day 7 - Lyn Genet The Plan -results

Day 1 Results: 3.2 lbs down
Day 2 Results: 2.6 lbs down
Day 3 Results: 1.0 lb down
Day 4 Results: .8 lb down
Day 5 Results: .8 lbs down
Day 6 Results: .8 lbs down
Day 7 Results: .4 lbs down

Total loss for 7 days: 9.6 lbs down. All I can say is wow!

So today's weigh in certainly showed a loss but according to the Plan, anything less than .5 lbs shows some type of reaction.

I did have another business dinner out. So many times, with me being the "client", I do have a say in where I eat out. I chose Talula's Garden which is known for it's local seasonal market ingredients and local cheeses to be the sole menu items. I thought I would be as safe as possible with this pick...and it was very close to the office given that it was pretty windy and cold here in Philadelphia yesterday. I ordered a salad with watercress, endive, dried cranberries, nuts, cheese, pear. It did have a poppyseed dressing may have had some suspect stuff in it that I haven't test driven as of yet. I did trade out the walnuts to almonds and I traded out the bleu cheese for goat cheese.

I had a most wonderfully tasting dish that was incredibly flavorful (and did not taste salty) of scallops, celery and celery root in a Meyer Lemon Clam broth. Completely yummy but I also haven't tested scallops up until last night.

None the less, I did have a .4 lb loss - while less than other days and less than the .5 lbs that the Plan states as the threshold of being non-reactionary, still good results.

I will test drive scallops again though and see what the results are at some future point.

For someone as nerdy and analytical as me, this little experiment of one has me completely intrigued. When you combine this previous statement with the fact that I love the food; I am not hungry; I feel like I can sustain the nutrition plan for a lifetime and the results are speaking for themselves - I think I found the answer for me.

My middle daughter Elise came home last night for her spring break. I couple this with the fact that work has been incredibly stressful this quarter, I am going to schedule a spa day on Wednesday for the two of us. I am really looking forward to that!

    You are doing great and I think you passed on all the ingredients you had yesterday. 0.4 is a decent loss and after the larger losses you have had it is bound to slow down a little to give your body time to "catch up".
For me anything but a gain is a pass as I am closer to goal.

    LIB_IN_AZ has reported in our Team forums that Lyn-Genet has repeatedly stated on Facebook that 0.4 pounds lost is a pass! I very often put those foods on a "watch list" but they seem to end up being foods that really did pass, at least so far.

Like you, I really enjoy this Grande Personal Experiment!
